[SN 40] USED LEMON & GINGER / Muzz [03]
This pedal is a further development and evolution of Lemon & Ginger's first product, the muzz face (now renamed Cashew Nuts FUZZ), based on the BC183A transistorized model, the most popular of the several muzz face models that existed. The muzz face BC183A's main features, such as the sound that comes through in a band ensemble and the rambunctious fuzz tone, have been retained and redesigned to incorporate many technologies and ideas that were not possible when the brand was first established.
Features
In the normal Fuzz Face circuit, the volume section not only adjusts the volume, but also forms a filter circuit, which adversely affects the tone of the pedal when the volume is turned down. By inserting a buffer circuit between the distortion generator circuit and the volume circuit, it is now possible to maintain the high frequency range even when the volume is turned down. In addition, the use of a metal film resistor for the DC part makes it possible to achieve a stable pedal tone.
