This is a Selmer Mark 7 alto saxophone. It was manufactured around 1977. It offers the characteristic sound of a vintage Selmer, combined with a power that still holds up well today. While it has appeal as a jazz instrument, its moderately bright tone and well-defined projection make it easy to play in pop and funk as well. There are signs of repairs on the U-tube and neck, and there are scattered scratches and rust from use; while it shows signs of use, it is fully functional.All pads have been replaced, making this a great value.
