[SN Q067974] USED FENDER JAPAN / JB62-75US US Lake Placid Blue [03]
Needless to say, "Fender" is the original electric bass.
Fender Japan has a long and rich history, and this particular model is from that era.
Based on the serial number, this instrument is estimated to have been manufactured between 2002 and 2004. While there are several dents on the body sides, a noticeable dent on the back of the body, and some discoloration on the parts, considering it’s a 20-year-old instrument, the overall wear is relatively light.
It features a very classic combination of materials: a basswood body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. But what really stands out is the finish. It boasts a sleek, elegant finish in a pale blue hue—US Lake Placid Blue—which is quite similar to Ocean Turquoise.
The sound is classic Jazz Bass. True to its Japanese-made heritage, it features a well-balanced tone centered around a solid midrange with a slightly mellow character. Compared to a Fender Japan model with the same specs, its slightly heavier weight contributes to the richness of the low end.
As mentioned earlier, in addition to signs of use, the control knobs have been replaced.
The neck is currently straight, and the truss rod has 360 degrees of travel. There is also plenty of fret life remaining.
This is a rare model that has established a solid reputation as a standard passive 4-string bass! Don’t miss this opportunity to purchase it!
