[SN V139611] USED FENDER USA / American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass 2-Knob 3-Color Sunburst [03]

[SN V139611] USED FENDER USA / American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass 2-Knob 3-Color Sunburst [03]

New used items from the American Vintage series, featuring the hugely popular stack knobs, have just arrived!

Fender, the undisputed pioneer of the electric bass.
The model we’ve just received is from the American Vintage series—a long-running bestseller that has continued to receive high praise since its release in 1982. After updates to the New American Vintage series and American Original series, it has now established itself as the top-of-the-line USA-made series under the name American Vintage II.

This particular instrument appears to be from 2003.
It features a lacquer-finished alder body, a maple neck, and a slab-joined rosewood fingerboard with 20 narrow frets. The distinctive stacked 2-Volume, 2-Tone knobs are a real eye-catcher.

The sound is centered around the rich, mid-range character typical of stacked knobs, delivering a wide-ranging low-end response. At the same time, the clear, mellow high-end in the upper positions is exquisite. You can fully sense its potential to be counted among the legendary guitars.

There are signs of wear throughout, including dents and scratches on the body and some discoloration on the parts. Additionally, there are several scratches accompanied by paint chipping, particularly around the body end and the control panel area. The pickguard and hard case have been replaced.
However, the neck is in excellent condition. The truss rod functions perfectly. There is plenty of fret life remaining, and playability is excellent.

This is a superb example of a classic and rare configuration within the American Vintage series! Don’t miss this opportunity!
