[SN R007290] USED FENDER JAPAN / PB57-70US Black MOD [03]
Need we say more about "Fender," the undisputed pioneer of the electric bass?
This new arrival is a modified version of the classic Japanese-made Fender PB57.
Featuring a black finish and an anodized pickguardâa classic yet popular combination for a '57 modelâthis instrument is a standout. With the "Crafted in Japan" marking and based on the serial number, it is believed to have been manufactured between 2004 and 2006.
The following modifications have been made to the original PB57:
ă»Pickguard replacement
ă»Control knobs replaced
ă»Pickup replacement (Symour Duncan SPB-3)
ă»Pickup and bridge string retainers installed
ă»Finger rest installed
That concludes the list. While I cannot say for certain, it is likely that the jack has also been replaced.
The replaced Seymour Duncan "SPB-3" is a model characterized by powerful, fat bass tones. There is a fairly distinct difference compared to the vintage-oriented SPB-2. It should perform well across a wide range of genres, particularly rock and metal. The pickup cover bears the inscription "BASS LINES."
The sound is fat and brilliant, true to the pickupâs character. Centered around punchy low-mids, it offers excellent projection regardless of playing style.
In addition to the parts mentioned above, there are scratches across the entire body, buckle marks, and some discoloration on the parts.
Also, while I cannot confirm this with certainty, there are areas on the front of the body that appear to be faint buffing marks.
The neck is currently in good condition. The truss rod functions normally. There are no issues with playability.
This is an exceptional value instrument with the potential to be a ready-to-play asset! Donât miss out!
