The model we’ve just received is a Japanese-made model from Fender’s Traditional Series.
It features a basswood body, a gloss-finished maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets. Thanks to the basswood body, the total weight is a lightweight 3.77 kg, which is another attractive feature.
The sound delivers the characteristic Fender depth, combined with a crisp, mature tone. The low end is substantial, and the sound projection is excellent. This is an exceptionally versatile and easy-to-play instrument.
While there are faint scratches across the body, a small dent on the back, and some slight discoloration on the hardware, it is safe to say there is virtually no sign of wear. There are some faint sticker marks on the pickguard, but judging by their shape, they appear to be from the stickers that come with new Fender guitars.
The neck is in perfect condition. There are virtually no signs that the truss rod has ever been adjusted. The frets have plenty of life left, and playability is outstanding. It’s clear that this guitar has been carefully stored.
