[SN R24808] USED Fender Custom Shop / 1975 Jazz Bass Relic Aged Natural [05]
This model, a recreation of the 1975-spec Blackguard Jazz Bass, features a select "2-Piece Ash" body with a "Lacquer" finish. The neck is made of quarter-sawn maple, and the fingerboard features round-laminate rosewood. The specifications follow the model year known for delivering the most dynamic sound in Jazz Bass history, offering another iconic Jazz Bass tone beloved worldwide, just like the 1960s models.
It features a "75 J-Bass" neck shape with a 7.25" fingerboard radius.
The neck is thinner than the standard "75 J-Bass" by approximately 0.25 mm at the 1st fret and 0.5 mm at the 12th fret, resulting in excellent playability. It features 20 frets with "Medium Vintage 47095" frets, which are slightly larger than vintage-sized frets, making it suitable for a wide range of playing styles.
It is equipped with a hand-wound “Hand-Wound 75 J-Bass” pickup, which feels more powerful and has a stronger midrange presence than the original 1975 model.
The entire guitar features a natural "Tint" (amber) finish, and the relic finish faithfully reproduces the authentic vintage look, including the body and neck's dents, scratches, and the patina on the parts.
True to the 70s style, the undercoat is urethane, and the top is finished with lacquer.
It appears to have been well-cared for.
The only damage that appears to be recent is some faint slap marks on the pickguard.
It plays well, and there are no issues with the truss rod.
Please consider this guitar.
