USED Martin / Style-1C [Vintage/ circa 1935-early 1960s] Martin Concert Ukulele [08]

USED Martin / Style-1C [Vintage/ circa 1935-early 1960s] Martin Concert Ukulele [08]

Vintage Martin concert ukulele!

This is a Martin Style 1 concert ukulele, a Martin ukulele that was produced from 1925 to about 1965.
All mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard/bridge.
The binding was originally rosewood, but was changed to black plastic in 1932, and then to tortoiseshell-patterned plastic binding around 1935.
This instrument also looks black at a glance, but upon closer inspection, you can see that it has a dark tortoiseshell pattern (outer).
The top binding is 3-ply and the back is 1-ply.
Until around 1935, there was no decal on the head and there was a Martin stamp on the back of the head, but after that, decals were applied to the head, and this instrument has them as well.
Also, there is a Martin stamp on the inside of the body (sound hole), but since the early 1960s, it has a MADE IN USA stamp, but this instrument does not have it, so it must be an earlier model.
Approximately 34mm nut width, 14-3/4" scale, 12 frets.

* Pegs and frets have been replaced.

There are weather checks throughout, and there are numerous dents and scratches, including paint peeling, on the body, neck, and head.
The paint is cloudy overall.
Overall, the guitar is quite used and aged, but playability is good.

It has a warm sound with a dry and crisp taste, which is indeed a vintage sound!
Product rank B: Fairly scratched and used, but no problems in normal use.
Serial: -1
Accessories: non-genuine semi-hard case

Original: $5.37
