The Meshuggah Distortion Pre?Amp, a collaboration between Fortin Amplification and Meshuggah, is a preamp pedal that faithfully reproduces the tone/feel of their iconic Blackout amplifier. Two gain channels (Gain 1 + Gain 2 on CH1, Gain 2 only on CH2) and HI/LO switching allow you to freely adjust from a modern high-gain range to a raw vintage sound. Active 3-band EQ (Bass/Mid/Treble) and MVC master volume provide more than 10 different tone variations. Inside is a Fortin-standard Zuul noise gate, with relay-based true bypass and 9VDC center-minus power supply for reliability, and a massive, clean metal sound condensed into a compact chassis.
It has a slight feeling of use, but there are no problems with operation.
