[SN 003661] USED YAMAHA / Trombone YSL-820G [11]
Serial Number 003661, Body Weight 1667 grams (Slide 572 grams)
A custom-grade, wide-bore tenor trombone with a one-piece gold brass bell and lacquer finish, manufactured between 1990 and 1994.
Dents on the bell, main tube, and U-shaped section of the slide have been repaired, leaving behind faint repair marks and scratches.
Additionally, solder repairs have been made to the water key mount, leaving visible repair marks.
Otherwise, there are scattered signs of wear and tear throughout the instrument, including scratches, dents, lacquer peeling, discoloration, and rust resulting from normal use and aging. However, none of these issues affect playability, and the slide moves smoothly, so you can start playing right away.
This is a classic model for wind ensembles, and the single-piece gold brass bell, crafted by a skilled artisan, produces a rich, mellow, and excellent tone.
Repair details: Disassembly and cleaning, water key cork replacement, stop ring felt replacement, dent repair (bell, main tube, slide U-bend), solder repair on water key base, slide adjustment, overall adjustment, re-lubrication with oil and grease
