We’ve just received the Sting Ray, a classic model from 2000 featuring an active EQ!
With its substantial ash body, a fat maple neck that offers excellent grip, and unique specifications including a single humbucker and a 3-band EQ, this model stands alongside the JB and PB as a standard electric bass.
It was a staple in funk and rock in the 70s and in fusion and other genres in the 90s, producing a bass sound with a strong presence across a wide range of genres.
Overall, there are scratches and dents; paint cracks and peeling around the joint; the neck has a slight darkening due to the oil finish; some metal parts show tarnish and rust; and there is a crack in the battery compartment.
About 70% of the frets remain; the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
