We’ve just received a shipment of Dingwall’s 5-string bass, featuring the Fanned Fret system.
Dingwall, which employs the "Novax Fanned Fret System," has earned the trust of players across all genres, including Lee Sklar and former Periphery member Adam Nolly Getgood.
This is part of the Combustion series, a value-oriented line where the woodworking and finishing are done in China, and the assembly and setup are performed in Canada.
Not only does the fanned-fret system provide a balanced tone across every string and position, but the natural placement of the frets relative to the left-hand form also ensures exceptional playability.
Controls include a master volume, 3-band EQ, active/passive switch, and a 4-way rotary pickup selector.
The 4-way rotary switch offers settings for front pickup, front + rear (series), front + rear (parallel), and rear pickup, allowing for flexible sound shaping depending on the situation.
There are scattered minor scratches and dents throughout the body, and the hardware shows some tarnish.
While it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
