[SN CIJ O016313] USED Fender Japan / Jazzmaster JM66-80 Modified Sonic Blue [12]
The Jazzmaster was popular in the 1960s for surf music and gained a following in the grunge and alternative scenes in the 1990s.
This model features the rare, non-catalog Sonic Blue finish, evoking the mood of the 1960s.
Featuring an asymmetrical offset body that provides stability when held while seated, this model is equipped with larger single-coil pickups, offering a rich, full-bodied sound and a beautiful clean tone.
With an alder body, Strat-style long scale, rosewood fingerboard, floating tremolo, and Alnico single-coil pickups, this versatile model allows for instant tone changes via a preset switch.
It handles a wide range of styles, from surf music to fuzz-driven roars.
The synergy between the unique "spring-like feel" of the floating tremolo—which can also be locked in the up position—and the Alnico single-coil pickups creates a tone unlike any other guitar.
The bridge has been modified to a Tune-O-Matic, making it less prone to string dropouts even during aggressive strumming.
There are scattered fine scratches and dents throughout the body, and there are small paint chips on both the 6th and 1st string sides of the body.
The topcoat has yellowed slightly, and the hardware has a dull appearance.
The tremolo arm is missing, and while there are some signs of general wear, the instrument has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
