John Lennon Anniversary Model, made in 2016!
This guitar was made in 2016, following the 75th Anniversary model made in 2015 to commemorate his 75th birthday.
The fingerboard is custom inlaid with striking decorations such as the glasses symbol and the star symbol.
The Martin logo on the head is applied by mother-of-pearl inlay. The most impressive decoration is the peace sign on the back.
The top is made of Sitka spruce with Vintage Tone System, East Indian rosewood side/back, neck is made of Genuine Mahogany, and fingerboard is made of Ebony.
Scale is 25.4" and nut width is 1 3/4". This D-28 has Grover pegs and a black pickguard.
Compared to the current D-28 Standard, it has a clean, sparkling sound, with a solid volume that brings it to the forefront among several instruments. It has a straight sound with a core in the high frequencies.
There are slight irregularities, but the binding has bumps on the body sides and body end. There are some minor scratches and signs of use, but no major noticeable damage, and it is in relatively clean condition for a used instrument made in 2016.
The string height is approximately 2.6mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string. The pickguard has a thin film on it from new.
A genuine hard case is included.
