[SN 168939] USED Gibson / 1964 LG-0 [03]

[SN 168939] USED Gibson / 1964 LG-0 [03]

We have received a used vintage Gibson LG-0. Based on the serial number, it is believed to have been manufactured in 1964.
The top, sides, and back are made of mahogany. Although the LG-0 was originally released as an affordable model, its unique tone has made it a highly sought-after guitar today and a true icon of the Gibson brand.
It features the dry sound characteristic of ladder bracing, making it perfect for blues and other genres.

Although it originally came with a plastic bridge, this one has been replaced with a rosewood bridge.
The pickguard features a translucent tortoiseshell pattern commonly seen in the early 1960s; it shows some warping and has a gap between it and the top of the body.
The celluloid binding is in good condition for its age and appears to have been replaced.
The nut and saddle have been replaced with cowbone parts. The saddle is set lower for the 1st string.
The guitar has undergone fret replacement, fingerboard leveling, bracing re-gluing, ironing, and fret leveling.
There are signs of repair on the inside of the body where the string holes in the bridge plate had widened.
The tuners are original Kluson Deluxe.

We have confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions.
The 4th string peg shows signs of bending. There are marks on the neck heel where a strap pin was removed.
String action is approximately 2.5 mm at the 12th fret on the 6th string and approximately 2.0 mm at the 12th fret on the 1st string, which is appropriate.

It offers not only a lively tone but also depth and a comfortable playing feel, making for an excellent playing experience.
With very fine weather checking and authentic, well-worn damage throughout, combined with the included chipboard case, this guitar allows you to fully appreciate the beauty of a vintage Gibson.
