[SN 955971] USED MARTIN / 000-28EC 2003 [03]

[SN 955971] USED MARTIN / 000-28EC 2003 [03]

The Classic, Long-Selling Eric Clapton Model
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Defying the conventional wisdom that signature models are meant for artist followers, this legendary model dramatically revived the OOO (Triple-O) Auditorium model on the market (and indeed, looking back now, it’s undeniable that until just before that, the mainstream was dominated almost exclusively by Dreadnoughts) and is even credited with supporting Martin Guitars from the 1990s onward.
This particular instrument was manufactured in a year when the neck material was listed as “Mahogany.”

The top, originally finished in “Antique Toner,” has taken on a more natural amber hue over time.
With no noticeable scratches or imperfections in the finish, its appearance is such that it can truly be described as a beautiful guitar.

When we talk about over 20 years having passed, isn’t that roughly the same timeframe when today’s legendary musicians acquired (or began using extensively) the star-level companions that have become their trademarks?
Whether it’s Clapton’s “Blackie” or Keith’s “Micauber,” how about treating yourself to the luxury of starting a relationship with this guitar with that kind of legacy in mind?
