USED KAMAKA / HF-2 Tiki (1971 / White Label) Kamaka Concert Ukulele [08]

USED KAMAKA / HF-2 Tiki (1971 / White Label) Kamaka Concert Ukulele [08]

A concert ukulele featuring a Tiki (Hawaiian deity) carving on the headstock!

Founded in 1916, Kamaka Ukulele of Hawaii is still known today as one of the most popular ukulele brands.
This is a 1971 model from the White Label era, a period when the label did not feature the "HANDCRAFTED" or "MADE IN HONOLULU HAWAII U.S.A." imprints.
The body, neck, fingerboard, and bridge are all made of Hawaiian koa wood.
It features a nut width of approximately 36.5 mm, a scale length of approximately 381 mm, a 12th-fret joint, and a total of 16 frets.
This is a rare instrument featuring a Tiki carving on the headstock!
* The nut has been replaced, and a Low-G string is installed.
* The tuning pegs appear to have been replaced.

Serviced at a renowned guitar workshop.
The crack in the top center seam (running from the bridge to the body end) has been repaired with adhesive, crack-stopping treatment, surface leveling, and a matte finish.
The crack near the fingerboard shoulder on the G-string side of the top has been repaired, including gluing, crack prevention, and surface sanding.

Touch-up marks are visible on the grain knots on the upper left and right sides of the body back.
There are numerous small dents scattered throughout the instrument, and while it shows signs of wear and aging appropriate for its age, playability is excellent.

It produces a crisp, cool sound characteristic of Kamaka ukuleles, with a high-quality tone that features a well-balanced midrange!
Condition Grade: B: Shows significant scratches and signs of use, but is in good working condition for normal use
Date: March 4, 1971
Accessories: Non-original hard case
* The case exterior has peeling.
