[SN 9050] USED ROGERS / 60s Dyna-Sonic COB 14x5 Snare Drum [08]
Rogers' iconic snare drum, the Dynasonic COB shell model.
Based on the shell’s seven-line pattern and serial number, it is believed to have been manufactured in 1965.
It features Rogers’ signature open sound and
the rich, fat sound characteristic of brass, making it a highly versatile snare drum suitable for everything from delicate tones to powerful sounds.
Unfortunately, the original snare frame is missing, but a replacement frame (which does not allow for wire tension adjustment) has been installed.
* Tension adjustment via the switch works without issue.
Additionally, the bottom hoop does not appear to be original.
While some parts have been replaced from the original and there are many minor scratches showing signs of wear appropriate for its age, the sound itself is excellent, and there are no particular issues with its performance.
It’s a drum that’s still very much in active use and suitable for a variety of situations.
