[SN 91501003] USED Gibson / Hummingbird Vintage Cherry Sunburst (1991) Gibson Acoustic Guitar [08]

[SN 91501003] USED Gibson / Hummingbird Vintage Cherry Sunburst (1991) Gibson Acoustic Guitar [08]

A 1991 Gibson Hummingbird!

The "Hummingbird" is the quintessential Gibson Square Shoulder model, first introduced in 1960.
The all-solid body features a spruce top and mahogany sides and back.
It features scalloped X-bracing and a three-pointed pickguard with an engraved design on the top.
The mahogany neck, with a nut width of just under 44mm and a 24.75" Gibson scale, features a rosewood fingerboard with binding.
The headstock is equipped with Kluson-style tuners.
Distinctive features include the hummingbird on the pickguard, double parallelogram inlays on the fingerboard, and a crown inlay on the headstock!
* The nut, saddle, bridge pins, and end pin have been replaced.
* The serial number on the soundhole label is no longer visible, but the guitar can be identified by the stamp on the back of the headstock.
* The pickguard shows slight signs of having been reattached and may have been replaced.

The guitar has undergone a full maintenance check since arrival.
The truss rod has been checked to 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning properly; there is still plenty of life left in the frets.
There is some paint shrinkage due to age, and weather checking is visible on the headstock and the back of the neck, along with some unevenness at the binding joints.
There is stand burn on the back of the neck (near the 11th-12th frets), and some paint lifting around the tuners on the headstock surface.
While there are dents, scuffs, and scratches scattered throughout, it is in relatively good condition for a guitar that is approximately 35 years old, and playability is not an issue.

As expected from Gibson!
It offers excellent dynamics, and whether strumming or fingerstyle, it delivers that signature Gibson sound—robust and full of character!
