[SN 2320] USED Sheeran by Lowden / W01 [Ed Sheeran] [08]

[SN 2320] USED Sheeran by Lowden / W01 [Ed Sheeran] [08]

The Sheeran by Lowden W01 is based on the WL (Wee Lowden) model from Lowden Guitars, which was originally designed for Ed Sheeran.

The story of how Ed Sheeran and Lowden Guitars first crossed paths began when Ed asked Gary Lightbody, the lead singer of the rock band Snow Patrol, “I want a Lowden guitar.” Gary gave Ed a Lowden guitar he owned, which had been crafted from a repurposed whiskey barrel.
Gary then asked George Lowden, “Could you make a guitar as a gift for Ed?” George crafted a special small guitar for Ed, and their friendship grew from there.
Later, George and Ed shared a dream of bringing a guitar to the world that was affordable yet of high quality, and would inspire young players—and thus, “Sheeran BY Lowden” was born.

While the original “Lowden Guitar” is an expensive instrument crafted by a select group of elite Irish artisans, this model successfully minimizes costs as much as possible by automating part of the manufacturing process—all while maintaining its “Built in Ireland” status.

It features a cedar top, walnut sides and back, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. Although compact, the W Series delivers a rich, expansive sound reminiscent of larger-sized guitars.

There are signs of use (including dents, small scratches, scuffs, wipe marks, picking marks, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts) on the body top and edges.

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, and deburring). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to 60 degrees in both directions and is in good condition (slightly tight).
