The Reference Series has been discontinued, much to the regret of many. The Reference 36 was created with the concept of recreating the Balanced Action model, manufactured from 1936 to 1954, to suit modern tastes.It inherits the Balanced Action’s bold, rich sound and nuanced expressiveness, while incorporating modern mechanisms (functionality, playability, and intonation). Due to its antique brushed satin finish, which features beautiful, unique shading, there are noticeable signs of general wear, rust from the base metal, and discoloration; however, there is no major damage, and the instrument is in good condition.
