Other: A 2007 Marquis Series D-28 Marquis Madagascar has arrived in stock. This Marquis Series D-28 Marquis Madagascar is a model that was renewed with minor changes to the D-28 Marquis from the Special Edition series, which was introduced around 2004, and is a specimen from the first year of production. The main minor change accompanying this partial product lineup revision was a significant upgrade: the material for the sides and back was changed from Indian rosewood to Madagascar rosewood. Due to regulations and the depletion of Madagascar rosewood—which was later classified as a rare wood—this model was discontinued around 2009 to 2010. With a production run of only about four years and an annual production volume reportedly in the tens of units, it’s safe to assume that availability on the current used market is extremely limited. (While the exact total production number is difficult to confirm, according to information from the Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum, the total production is said to be around 143 or 150 units... there are various theories.) The overall condition of the body features various scratches, primarily fine scratches, as well as dents and impact marks. In particular, the neck grip shows scattered marks from capos, and the side of the headstock has spiral-shaped marks likely caused by the use of inexpensive string winders. However, there are few pick scratches on the pickguard, and the body as a whole has a clean, well-maintained appearance. Considering this is a 19-year-old instrument, it has actually been well-preserved, and you may appreciate the beautiful patina that comes with its age.You may find it to be in excellent, clean condition with no obvious signs of damage or wear. Therefore, we hope you will consider it to be in excellent player’s condition with no issues. Additionally, it is equipped with an L.R. Baggs Anthem dual-pickup system (Anthem control box, Element active, and Tru-Mic) installed during professional repairs, and it functions perfectly—ready to play right away.

* As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, or other imperfections that are difficult to capture in photos or not listed here. Please be aware of this in advance.

* Any measurements listed for the truss rod, remaining fret life, or string height were taken by our staff during setup. These values may change due to environmental factors such as climate and humidity.
These measurements are intended as a reference at the time of purchase; we cannot guarantee that the measurements will be exactly the same when the item arrives at your location.

* This item is a one-of-a-kind product currently listed simultaneously on multiple online marketplaces, including our in-store display. While we strive to remove product listings promptly upon sale, updates may not always be in real time.
We sincerely apologize if the item happens to be sold out after you place your order, and we ask for your understanding in such cases.
