[SN IL0210258] YAMAHA / AC3R ARE Vintage Natural [11]
Incorporating feedback from numerous guitarists and technicians, we refined the neck taper shape to ensure a comfortable grip even near the joint with the body and added chamfers to the fingerboard edges. This pursuit of natural feel and playability makes it easy to play even in the higher positions. The transition from electric guitar feels seamless, delivering high playability for stage performances, recording, practice, and various other situations.
Yamaha's proprietary analysis technology led to bracing improvements: a new scalloped bracing design on the top and a newly developed bracing specifically for the cutaway on the back. This achieves a rich, full-body sound despite the cutaway, along with powerful resonance in the mid-to-low frequencies!
The body features a contoured folk-style cutaway with an all-solid construction: Sitka spruce for the top and rosewood for the sides and back.
The spruce top undergoes our proprietary "A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) treatment." This achieves a rich, well-played-in sound!!
The pickup system employs the newly developed "SRT2" system, an evolution of the "SRT (Studio Response Technology)" system. It retains the sonic characteristics of the "SRT" system, delivering an airy acoustic sound reminiscent of studio recordings by top sound engineers, while streamlining functions for enhanced operability suited to stage performances and practice sessions. The pickup body features piezo pickups with independent elements for each string. Players can easily blend the piezo pickup sound with the sound from the "SRT2" system to create their desired tone. Furthermore, two different microphone types can be selected to suit different playing styles or songs.
The aesthetic eschews ornate decoration, yet uses wood for the binding around the body and the soundhole inlay, creating an organic, high-quality impression that conveys the warmth of wood. The pickguard features a distinctive design inspired by the "N1000" acoustic guitar, beloved by top artists in the 1970s.
