[SN 990504] USED Morris / MW-2803, manufactured in 1999, Natural [12]
Upon inquiring with Morris, I was told it is a handmade instrument from 1999.
The body features a solid spruce top, with solid Hawaiian koa used for the sides and back.
It features a mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with flame maple binding, and the headstock veneer is Hawaiian koa, creating a stunning match with the body wood.
Characterized by the MW shape—which combines a jumbo body with rounded shoulders—it produces a pleasant sound where deep bass, the resilient midrange unique to Hawaiian koa, and crisp treble intertwine in perfect balance.
While Maurice instruments are often associated with fingerstyle playing, the jumbo body allows for dynamic strumming styles as well.
There are paint marks on the headstock top and back that appear to be from the rubber on clip-on tuners.
While there are minor scratches and dents throughout, the instrument shows minimal signs of use and is in good condition.
It has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
