[SN 2000-0128] USED S.Yairi / SYD-2000 Natural [12]
This is the "SYD-2000," produced in a limited run of only 300 units in 2000 to commemorate the revival of the S.Yairi brand.
Unlike the current Chinese-made line, this is a superbly crafted instrument produced at the renowned Terada Gakki in Japan under the supervision of Hiroshi Yairi, the founder’s son.
It features a luxurious appearance befitting a flagship model, including abalone inlays reminiscent of the Martin D-41 and snowflake and cat’s eye fingerboard inlays. It produces a pleasant sound with the rich bass typical of a Dreadnought and the sparkling treble characteristic of Japanese-made guitars.
Regarding condition, there are signs of use throughout, including scratches, dents, tarnish on metal parts, and gaps filled in where decorative parts attached to the neck heel have shrunk.
Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is in good condition for normal use.
