This product features actual photos of the instrument and is a warehouse stock item not currently on display in-store.

An electro-acoustic model from the Red Label series featuring an all-solid body and the "Atmosfeel" pickup system, which delivers a natural sound.

○ Combines the aesthetics of the 1960s with skilled craftsmanship honed over more than 50 years
• Features the newly developed "Atmosfeel" pickup system
○ Faithfully reproduces the airy quality and natural resonance of an acoustic guitar through the line output
○ Yamaha’s original folk body shape offers excellent playability for players who prefer a compact body. The well-defined, full-bodied sound is ideal for responsive chord strumming and fingerpicking.
○ Newly developed scalloped bracing delivers a warm, powerful sound characterized by deep bass and rich harmonics.
○ The top features solid Sitka spruce treated with A.R.E. for a mature, well-seasoned sound reminiscent of a guitar played for many years
○ Fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony
• Includes a lightweight hard case

<Yamaha's Traditional V-Shaped Headstock>
The original headstock shape of the Yamaha FG features a logo modeled after a tuning fork. The truss rod cover is engraved with "Since 1966," signifying the origins of Yamaha guitars.

<SOLID Sitka spruce Top>
The top is crafted from solid Sitka spruce treated with A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement). Despite being brand new, it delivers a rich tone reminiscent of a well-played instrument, combined with a powerful resonance from the warm mid-to-low frequencies characteristic of mahogany. This well-balanced sound is ideal for chord strumming or rhythmic fingerstyle playing.

<Solid Mahogany Sides and Back>
Solid mahogany is used for the sides and back. This delivers the warm, rich midrange characteristic of mahogany.

<Newly Developed Scalloped Bracing>
Aiming to achieve an ideal, warm tone, we have refined the design through a combination of virtual prototyping using the latest acoustic analysis simulation technology and physical prototyping via woodworking. Compared to the scalloped bracing used in the FG/FS#800 series, this design has been optimized to match the characteristics of the wood itself and the specific FG and FS models, resulting in further expansion of the low-frequency response.

<A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) Treatment>
The top panel features Yamaha’s proprietary Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) treatment. By precisely controlling temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, this process replicates the aging changes that occur in wood over a long period after milling within a short timeframe. This enhances sound transmission and vibration efficiency, promoting the extension of mid-to-low frequencies while increasing the attack of high frequencies and accelerating their decay.The A.R.E. treatment produces a well-balanced, mature, and warm sound with minimal harsh overtones, creating a tone reminiscent of a guitar that has been played for years.

<Equipped with the newly developed "Atmosfeel" pickup system>
The newly developed Atmosfeel 3-way pickup system features an under-saddle piezo sensor for the mid-low range, a microphone built into the preamp for the low range, and a proprietary ultra-thin contact sensor for the high range—three distinct pickups that reliably capture each frequency range. By incorporating a contact sensor made of thin, durable piezoelectric synthetic paper inside the instrument (near the back of the bridge), it reproduces the cohesion of string vibrations emanating from the soundhole—which conventional pickups could not fully capture—as well as the sustain of each individual string, the tactile feel of fingering, and the airy, delicate tones produced by high-frequency harmonics.
Included: Light case, wrench
