[SN ILX280099] YAMAHA / A Series AC3R ARE VN Vintage Natural Yamaha Electro-Acoustic Guitar [S/N ILX280099] [80]
The A Series: All-Solid Body & Exceptional Playability
In our quest to create guitars that deliver ideal performance, the A Series was designed to adapt to a variety of lifestyles.
Equipped with the new "SRT2" pickup system, which allows you to instantly and easily produce the guitar's natural acoustic sound when connected to a PA system.
Features such as the neck’s back finish and edge profiling—which boast high playability—along with newly designed scalloped bracing, deliver a powerful and expressive tone.
The A Series takes your playing to the next level, anytime, anywhere.
Incorporating feedback from numerous guitarists and engineers, we pursued a natural playing feel and playability by chamfering the edges of the fingerboard and carefully crafting the neck taper to ensure a comfortable grip even near the body joint.
It is easy to play even in the high positions, and the transition from an electric guitar feels natural, delivering high playability in a variety of situations, including live performances, recording, and practice.
Using Yamaha’s proprietary analysis technology, we have refined the bracing system, incorporating a newly designed scalloped bracing pattern on the top and bracing specifically developed for cutaway models on the back. This achieves a rich, full-bodied sound—despite the cutaway design—along with powerful resonance in the mid-to-low frequencies.
The body features a cutaway and a tapered folk-style shape; it is all-solid, with Sitka spruce treated with Yamaha’s proprietary “A.R.E. treatment” on the top and rosewood on the sides and back.
The pickup system utilizes the newly developed "SRT2" system, an evolution of the "SRT (Studio Response Technology)" system.
While retaining the sound characteristics of the "SRT" system—which delivers an atmospheric acoustic sound reminiscent of a top-tier sound engineer recording with a microphone in a studio—the model achieves high operability suitable for stage performances and practice sessions by carefully selecting and simplifying its functions.
The design eschews flashy ornamentation, yet by using wood for the body binding and soundhole inlay, it creates an organic, high-quality impression that conveys the warmth of the wood.
The pickguard features a striking design inspired by the "N1000" acoustic guitar, a model beloved by top artists in the 1970s.
