YAMAHA / SLG200S CRB (Crimson Red Burst) Yamaha Silent Guitar SLG-200S Acoustic Guitar Acoustic Guitar Ereaco Steel string specification [80]
The Silent Guitar has been very popular since its release in 2001.
The high quietness and portability of these guitars have made them popular not only for home and nighttime practice, as they can be played anywhere and at any time, but also for their natural tone, which is recognized on professional stages, and has gained the support of many users.
Through model changes, the current lineup includes the 200 series!
---------------------
☆Change of BODY material
The maple body of the 100 series has been replaced by a "mahogany" body.
The frame has also been changed from maple to rosewood and mahogany, and the black painted appearance of the 100 series has been replaced with a more luxurious "grained" appearance.
In addition, the body width when the frame is installed has been increased from 362 mm to 356 mm, the body thickness from 80 mm to 85 mm, and the overall length from 985 mm to 978 mm.
The pickguard is larger, and the cutaway has been finished in a stylish Florentine style.
☆Change of pickup system
The 100 series was equipped with L.R. Baggs piezo pickups, but the 200 series is equipped with the SRT (Studio Response Technology) powered pickup system! This allows you to blend the piezo pickup sound, with an independent pickup for each string, with a MIC sound that simulates the sound of an LL36ARE mic'd up with a Royer R-122. In addition, a convenient chromatic tuner is included!
Effects include REV1/REV2/CHO. You can enjoy the realistic sound.
☆Change of string height, pitch between strings, and NECK width
Compared to the previous SLG110S model, the string height is slightly lower on the 6th string side and slightly higher on the 1st string side.
The pitch between strings is slightly wider than that of the SLG110S.
Furthermore, the nut width has not changed, but the neck width at the neck joint has increased from 52mm to 55mm.
This design makes it easier to hold down the strings and fingerpick, and the feel is closer to that of a live acoustic.
Change of power supply (battery)
The 100 series is now powered by AA batteries (2 pcs.) instead of 9V square batteries, and the battery life is longer, and the same battery life is maintained when using effects!
---------------------
Other changes include the addition of new parts such as pegs and saddles (offset saddles), as well as a change in the country of production from Indonesia to China.
With this model change, the sound has changed from a slightly brighter sound to a slightly more delicate sound with a richer midrange. This is probably due to the change in body material. The output of the pickups is lower than that of the SLG110S, but the sound is closer to that of a live acoustic guitar.
The looks are more austere than the 100 series, with an antique feel and a sense of luxury!
