"The DGT is a guitar created through a collaboration of ideas between Paul and myself, based on my own experience performing in countless live shows and recording sessions. The great thing about this model is that it delivers a fantastic vintage sound right out of the box. That really sums it up. It’s truly a guitar you can use right away. Every detail has been meticulously crafted from every angle, making this the ideal guitar for me." - David Grissom
The DGT (David Grissom Trem) is the culmination of over 20 years of collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom. Based on the McCarty, this model features an original neck shape, slightly higher frets, and specially tuned pickups. The DGT humbucker pickups, which produce this vintage sound, were perfected after Paul and David spent an enormous amount of time repeatedly A/B testing over 40 sets of prototypes. The control section features two volume knobs and a push/pull tone control, and the rich, lustrous single-coil sound produced by the coil tap is one of this model’s major attractions.
Created by two experts in vintage guitars, we invite you to experience this vintage sound brought back to life for the modern era.
