[SN CF637] USED Fender Custom Shop / MBS 61Stratocaster NOS Olympic White C.W.Fleming [03]
Christopher W. Fleming joined Fender in 2000.
After assisting Fred Stewart, Alan Hamill, and John English, he was promoted to Master Builder in 2003.
In the R&D (Research and Development) department, he contributed to the significant quality improvement of the MADE IN JAPAN series, which underwent a full renewal in 2017.
He is one of the Master Builders who has a deep knowledge of vintage models, including working on the prototype of the 50th anniversary 1954 Strat.
Chris Fleming retired as a master builder at the end of 2020, and this is one of his rare pieces!
Based on a 1960 Strat, this guitar has an alder body, maple neck, and slabbed rosewood fingerboard.
Fretboard radius is 7.25R and vintage frets are used.
The neck shape is C-shape, which is common in the 60s, and has a comfortable grip in the hand.
Unlike the 60 Stratocaster, the Fender Stratocaster has a patent number under the word "Fender Stratocaster" as in the Vintage models of this era.
The PU has been replaced from the original one, and three 60s pickups are installed.
The controls are master volume, front and center PU tone, and rear PU tone.
There are scratches, dents, paint cracks, and other signs of use, and there are large paint chips and wood chips on the sides of the body and fingerboard.
Also, there is a mark where a counterbore was dug to install a stack of pickups in the pickup cavity.
The decal on the head is peeling.
The strap pins have been replaced. Also, there is a screw hole left when the pickguard was replaced.
There are many paint cracks and other signs of use, but there are no problems with playing the instrument.
This is a rare one produced by Chris Fleming, a rare master craftsman who retired from the position of master builder!
