The 1965 Gretsch 6137 White Falcon Stereo Double Cutaway has arrived!!

Introduced as Gretsch’s flagship model, this extremely rare instrument features an elegant white body, gold hardware, and gorgeous binding. Long regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful guitars, it has been cherished by enthusiasts for decades!
This 1965 model features a 17-inch laminated maple double-cutaway body—a design adopted around 1961—paired with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard.

It is equipped with two "Filter'Tron" pickups bearing patent numbers.
It produces a crisp, bright, vintage-style sound full of character—the quintessential Gretsch tone.

The other parts are consistent with the model year, featuring Grover tuners with kidney-shaped buttons (typically found on higher-end models), a Space Control bridge, and Falcon G Arrow knobs.
Additionally, this is a rare stereo-configured 6137 model, allowing for separate output of strings 1–3 and 4–6.

Two potentiometers were identified, both dating from 1965.
There were no signs of replacement in the other electrical components either.

As for the condition, there are cracks in the escutcheon (some repaired), deterioration of the back cover, warping of the back panel, a crack on the top of the headstock, and deterioration of the finish on the back of the neck.

Additionally, there are steps caused by binding shrinkage—a common issue with vintage Gretsch guitars—and partial lifting of the binding around the F-holes.

While there is some damage due to age, considering its vintage and age, it is in relatively good condition and is a truly impressive instrument.

A truly rare vintage Falcon!
The stereo version is particularly rare and rarely comes up for sale.
It is in excellent condition and highly recommended for collectors, so if you are looking for one, please consider purchasing it as soon as possible!
