[SN 8 8173] USED GIBSON CUSTOM / 1958 Les Paul Standard HRM [03]
In 2018, the "True Historic Collection" was revived as the "Historic Collection" again, taking over some of the "True Historic" that had been manufactured up until then and increasing the power of the collection.
This is one of the special ones using HRM (Hard Rock Maple), which has not been an option in recent years.
As mentioned above, the top material is Hard Rock Maple with beautifully raised grain, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The neck shape has a moderate thickness like a 58 Les Paul, and the grip is comfortable in the hand.
Weighing only 3.93 kg, it is also an attractive lightweight instrument.
The True Historic parts, which were thoroughly refined by collecting the original parts, are used, and the specifications are close to those of vintage Les Pauls down to the smallest detail, such as the all-nickel wiring.
The body color is a faded cherry sunburst, giving it a vintage look.
The original "Custombucker" pickups have been reproduced.
Two original "Custombucker" pickups are installed.
The vintage tone that reproduced Gibson's vintage pickups "PAF" has a tight bass, sticky midrange, and beautiful and extended treble, and it is an attractive sound that can be used even today.
The body has some dents and scratches, and some parts are dull and rusty.
Aniline dye stains can be seen on the binding.
Although there are some parts that show signs of use, the original color and paintwork combine to create a nice atmosphere.
This is one of the precious HRM specs!
