[SN R38720] USED FENDER CUSTOM SHOP / Time Machine Series 1969 Stratocaster Closet Classic 3-Tone Sunburst [03]

We’ve just received a used 2008 Fender Custom Shop Time Machine Series 1969 Stratocaster Closet Classic 3-Tone Sunburst!

The "Time Machine Series" is a reissue series that faithfully reproduces the originals. It is one of the flagship models within the Custom Shop lineup and remains a popular series with many models still in production today.
The model we’ve just received is the “1969 Stratocaster Closet Classic 3-Tone Sunburst,” built in 2008.
It features the "Closet Classic" finish, which recreates moderate weather checking and the patina of aged parts, giving it a distinctive, vintage look.

Based on the '69 Strat, it features an alder body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with a round-inlaid design.
The fingerboard radius is 7.25R, and it is equipped with 21 slim vintage-style frets.
The neck shape is a classic '69 Strat-style U-shape.
It features a large headstock with the CBS logo, along with "F"-marked tuners and a neck plate, faithfully recreating the specifications typical of that era.

The body color is "3-Tone Sunburst."
The finish is a "Closet Classic" style, recreating just the right amount of weather checking and patina on the hardware.
Combined with the sunburst color, this guitar has a vintage-like atmosphere.

It is equipped with three gray-bobbin pickups, believed to be original '69 Stratocaster pickups.
The back of the pickups bears the signature of Abigail Ibara, a legendary Fender pickup craftsman.
It delivers a bright and powerful sound.

Regarding the condition, in addition to the original weather checking and patina on the parts, there are minor dents and scratches on the body.
There are areas where the aluminum backing under the pickguard is visible.
Additionally, the back panel, rubber tubes for the pickups, pickup covers, control knobs, switch caps, and tremolo arm cap were previously replaced with non-original parts; however, the pickup covers and back panel have since been restored to their original condition.
There are also signs that the wiring has been re-soldered at some point.
While there are signs of use, there are no scratches or damage that detract from the appearance, and the guitar is in excellent condition.

This is a high-quality instrument, true to the Custom Shop’s reputation for faithfully reproducing the ’69 Strat!
Please take this opportunity to consider purchasing it!!
