[SN A-98120] USED Gibson Custom Shop / Historic Collection 1959 ES-335 Dot [03]

[SN A-98120] USED Gibson Custom Shop / Historic Collection 1959 ES-335 Dot [03]

The Historic Collection, produced by the Gibson Custom Shop as a "reissue series of legendary instruments."
We’ve just received a used 2008 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1959 ES-335 Dot!

It features the familiar specs: a 3-ply laminated maple/poplar/maple body, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.
The neck has a grip with just the right thickness, typical of that era.

The finish is natural, giving it a cool, understated look.

It is equipped with two original “57 Classic” pickups.
The "57 Classic," a faithful reproduction of Gibson’s iconic "PAF" vintage pickups, pairs exceptionally well with a solid-body guitar like this one, delivering a sound that blends the characteristic tone of a solid-body with the warmth of an acoustic guitar.

Regarding the condition, there are areas on the back and sides of the body where the finish appears to have reacted, likely due to contact with a stand. Additionally, there is slight deformation on the control knobs.
Otherwise, there are some light scratches, scuff marks, and slight discoloration on the parts.
While there are signs of use, this is a well-maintained instrument overall.

This is a stylish, understated natural-colored Custom Shop ES-335!
