[SN 333265] USED FENDER / 1971 Telecaster Blonde/R [04]

[SN 333265] USED FENDER / 1971 Telecaster Blonde/R [04]

We’ve just received a 1971 Telecaster with a cool, vintage-inspired look.

Featuring a blond finish that has developed a sun-bleached patina, this model boasts a rosewood fingerboard—a rarity compared to the more common maple.

While the string guide was changed to a dual-guide design starting in 1972, this guitar was made the year before, so it features a single-guide design.
The bridge pickup’s winding thread was changed to black starting in mid-1971, but this guitar still features the original white thread.

The pots are the original 1MΩ units, dated to Week 32 of 1966.
The capacitor has been replaced with an Astron Yellow Mustard, and the wiring connecting the pot to the jack has also been replaced.
Additionally, the high-pass capacitor has been removed.

This is a standout instrument with a crisp attack, strong low-end punch, and a fat, rich tone.

It has been re-nutted and re-fretted, and we performed a fine-tuning after it arrived.
The neck retains ample height, is in excellent condition, and plays very well.

It has a dignified, vintage-style appearance, featuring sun-faded finish, fine weather checking, and paint peeling at the neck joint.
There is a chip in the lower left corner of the pickguard, and the white top layer of the three-ply pickguard in the lower right corner is chipped, revealing the black underneath, but this does not affect playability.
