[SN 101885] USED Gibson / 1973 Les Paul Deluxe Sunburst [05]
1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Sunburst is in stock!
Serial: 101885, Pot Date: 1973, Serial: 1970-75, but we have comprehensively determined that it was made in 1973.
The Deluxe was first sold in 1969, a little later than the Les Paul, and has become more popular and rare every year due to its shorter production period compared to the Les Paul with full-size humbuckers and the re-evaluation of the attractive tone that only a mini humbucker can provide.
It has a pancake body made of mahogany sandwiched by maple, maple top, and a 3-piece mahogany neck with volute, a configuration typical of early 70s Gibson guitars.
The PU is original, with two sticker-numbered mini-humbuckers. Compared to full-size humbuckers, the tone is a little brighter and tighter, and it is very easy to handle because it is easy to produce picking nuances and has good sound removal. A sponge is placed under the PU so that it can be raised and lowered.
Pot date is '73 as far as we can see, and others are hard to see due to solder, but we judge it as original.
There is a history of peg replacement (currently original pegs), nut and fret replacement, output jack and jack plate replacement, and a cracked pickguard.
The top maple has flamed out and is a cool piece. There are some dents and scratches, but considering the age of the guitar, it is still in beautiful condition. Playability is good, including the truss rod.
Please consider this a good opportunity to buy.
