The Fender Custom Shop Limited 1959 Stratocaster has arrived!!
This limited-edition model from the 2022 Fender Custom Shop Fall event is based on a 1959 Stratocaster.
It features a two-piece alder body with an AAA birdseye maple neck and fingerboard. The pickups are hand-wound FAT 50s.
The hardware is all gold, and you can tell from the appearance alone that this was crafted as a special model.
The previous owner had replaced the tuners with GOTOH locking tuners, but they have since been restored to the original ones.
There is a single hole drilled near the 3rd and 4th string tuners on the back of the headstock, though the reason for this is unknown.
While there are signs of use, such as fret wear and damage to the fingerboard surface, this has added a relic-like character that cannot be achieved through artificial aging, elevating it into a truly atmospheric instrument.
Currently, there are no buzzing or muting issues with the frets; we have performed only a cleaning, prioritizing the overall fret height.
Included are the original hard case, tag, tremolo arm, bridge cover, strap, picks, catalog, stickers, and a GOTOH SD91-MG.
Condition: B+: Some minor scratches, but no issues for normal use
