This 1992 Fender Japan TL52-40TH, manufactured during the Fujigen era, faithfully reproduces the specifications of the 1952 Telecaster—commonly known as the “Blackguard”—while being finished to the high standards characteristic of Japanese craftsmanship.

Featuring an ash body with a vintage natural finish, it boasts a beautiful appearance that clearly showcases the wood grain. Sonically, it delivers the fast attack and well-defined tone characteristic of ash, allowing you to fully experience the signature clarity of a Telecaster.

The neck is a one-piece maple design with a 7.25-inch radius, offering a vintage-style profile. It provides a classic playing feel ideal for chord work and cutting, allowing you to naturally experience the feel of a 1950s Telecaster.

The bridge features a vintage-style three-saddle brass design, which, combined with the string-through-body construction, produces rich harmonics and a pleasant attack. The Fender Japan single-coil pickups deliver clear, well-balanced output, making the guitar suitable for a wide range of genres, from clean to crunch.

Weighing in at 4.01 kg, this particular guitar is on the heavier side, offering superior low-end stability and sustain compared to lighter models—a major appeal. It’s a guitar with a strong presence in both appearance and sound.

Although there are some minor scuffs, small scratches, and slight discoloration on the parts, it remains in very good condition considering its age. After purchase, it underwent a full setup at our repair center and is ready to play immediately.
