[SN 70598556] USED Gibson / 1978 Les Paul Standard Ebony [05]

[SN 70598556] USED Gibson / 1978 Les Paul Standard Ebony [05]

A 1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard has just arrived!!

While most guitars from this era were produced in sunburst finishes, this one features a rare ebony finish, giving it a chic and understated look that is truly captivating.

As a model from the Norlin Gibson era, you can immediately spot characteristics unique to this period, such as the volute neck.

The pickups are stamped with serial numbers and date stamps, all dated 1978.
As for the pot dates, one of the four is partially obscured by solder, but there are no signs that the solder has been tampered with. Since the other three are all dated 1978, we have determined that these are original.

The capacitor is also an original Orange Circle D, and the jack is original as well, so the major components of the electronics have been faithfully preserved.

Although the previous owner reportedly replaced the bridge, it is a Nashville-type bridge commonly used during that era and bears a "MADE IN GERMANY" stamp, suggesting it is a contemporary part.

Additionally, the gear cover on the tuning pegs is original and bears a "Norlin" stamp, making this a guitar with a high degree of originality overall.

While we cannot definitively confirm its authenticity, the guitar comes with a 1970s chainsaw case (or rocket case), making it an attractive collector’s item.

We have performed a full adjustment after purchasing it, so it is ready to play immediately.

Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity.
