[SN 83341516/1290] USED Gibson / 1981 Heritage Series Les Paul Standard 80 Elite [05]

A 1981 Gibson Heritage Series Les Paul Standard 80 Elite has arrived!!

The Heritage Series was produced for only a brief period in the early 1980s, up until around 1982. This model is the Les Paul Standard 80 Elite, the top-of-the-line model in the Heritage Series.

Serial: 83341516 / 1290; this is a 1981 model.

It features a quilted maple top and a one-piece mahogany body, with a one-piece mahogany neck—a hallmark of the ELITE model—and an ebony fingerboard. The slight bulge in the top is characteristic of that era, and the beautiful quilted maple pairs perfectly with the sunburst finish that retains a reddish hue, making this a stunning instrument.

It is equipped with New PAF (Tim Shaw PAF) pickups. The front pickup is 137981 and the rear is 1381081, both manufactured in 1981.

The pot dates are original: 1378124 (Front Volume), 1378045 (Front Tone), 1378124 (Bridge Volume), and 1378045 (Bridge Tone). The capacitors are also original.

Replaced parts include the nut, frets, and the escutcheons on both pickups; the pointer is missing.

While there are some scratches and dents typical of its age, playability is excellent, including the truss rod. This Les Paul Standard 80 Elite is a rare find, and it comes with the original Heritage Series documentation from that era, making it highly recommended. Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity.
