[SN 258630] USED FENDER USA / 25th Anniversary Stratocaster 1979 Candy Apple Red [06]

[SN 258630] USED FENDER USA / 25th Anniversary Stratocaster 1979 Candy Apple Red [06]

Rare CAR 25th Anniversary Stratocaster in stock!
This model was released in 1979 as the 25th anniversary of the Stratocaster.
The ash body and large head maple one-piece neck are combined with a 4-point bolt-on joint. 70's Stratocasters usually had a 3-point joint plus micro-tilt, so this model pays homage to the original Stratocaster in that respect. Anniversary logo is engraved on the joint plate.
The neck date and body date are gone and cannot be read, but the front tone pot date is 79.
Most Anniversary models are silver color, but this one is very rare Candy Apple Red color.
It also weighs 3.59kg, which is relatively light for this age.
Overall, there are scratches and dings consistent with the age of the instrument. The paint is peeling on the fingerboard edge and on the inlay.
The output jack and one wire connecting the jack to the pot have been replaced. Three peg bushings and strap pins have been replaced.
The fretboard has been adjusted and the saddle groove has been corrected, so there are no problems in playing.
