[SN 711357] USED GIBSON CUSTOM / Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Junior Single Cut TV Yellow [06]
[SN 711357] USED GIBSON CUSTOM / Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Junior Single Cut TV Yellow [06]
Introduced in the late 1950s, the Les Paul Junior/Special was released as an affordable student model of the already popular Les Paul Standard and Custom.
This particular model features a simple design with a mahogany body and neck, paired with a rosewood fingerboard.
Equipped with a single P-90 pickup and 1 Volume/1 Tone controls, it captures the nuances of the player’s performance with precision. It is characterized by a direct, straightforward sound achieved through the wrap-around bridge, which transmits string vibrations directly to the body.
This is a guitar that is sure to stand out on stage.
There is plenty of play in the truss rod, and the neck is generally in good condition. The nut and frets have been replaced.
There are traces of what appear to be solder repairs, but we have determined that the pickup is original.
The entire body and neck have been over-lacquered, and touch-ups have been applied to the back of the neck between the 7th and 12th frets.
There are dents and chips on the headstock, a large dent on the back of the neck around the 2nd fret, and scratches and dents on the back and outer edges of the body that expose the wood.
Overall, there are numerous scratches and dents, and the metal parts show signs of blue rust and tarnish, giving it a well-used appearance; however, it is still fully playable.
