[SN 8025] USED Ovation / AdamasII 1681-2 RRB [1993] Ovation Adamas Eleaco [08]
Made in USA
Adamas II is a reasonably priced version of Ovation's top-of-the-line Super Adamas, which is also known as the heretic of the Eleaco.
Deep Bowl, non-cutaway model with carbon graphite top and rylacord back.
This model was produced from 1981 to around 1998.
About 42mm nut width, 638mm scale, 5-piece mahogany/maple Neck with V-shape style grip and walnut fingerboard.
The head is equipped with Schaller Rotomatic Gold.
Equipped with OP24 preamp with volume and 3-band EQ.
* The epaulets have been replaced. (Those removed are kept in the case.)
* Nut has probably been replaced.
After arrival, it has been cleaned, strings replaced, rods adjusted, string height adjusted, and mortised.
In addition, it has been set up at a well-known guitar workshop.
The neck has been reset (angle adjustment using shims), the frets have been fretted, and the nut has been adjusted.
The truss rod is almost fully tightened, and there is some deflection at the top, which is typical of Ovation guitars, but the neck angle has been adjusted to ensure good playability.
The frets are a little low because they have been rubbed together, but there is still 50-60% of the fretboard left.
There are a few marks on the top near the epaulettes, and some scratches and scuffs on the back.
There are some scratches on the back of the neck and head.
The back of the neck and head are dotted with minor scratches.
The sound is exceptional, with a unique Adamas-like sense of compression!
Item rank: B+: Some scratches, but no problems in normal use.
Serial: 8025
Accessories: Genuine hard case
* Repairs and setups that can be done currently have been done, but there is no warranty due to the nature of the product.
