The Made in Japan Squier remains highly popular today. Neck Date: 6-10 83 / Body Date: 83.6. Features an orthodox 21-fret specification, original staggered pole piece pickups (listed as SQ-4 single coils in catalog specs), vintage-style Kluson-type tuners, and a 1 Volume/2 Tone/5-way selector configuration.
While the 1983 catalog lists only BLK/M, this is a catalog-unlisted BLK/R specification seen in limited circulation.
Back panel and tremolo arm are missing. Shows signs of use (neck hanger marks on headstock, discolored pickup bobbins, scuffs and scratches, wear and playing lines, picking marks, tarnish/pitting/rust on metal parts and screws, etc.).
Setup completed upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling, buzz elimination, shim adjustment, nut slot correction). Fret height is sufficient for playability. Truss rod tested to 60° on both sides and confirmed in good condition (slightly tightened).
Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches present, but no issues for normal use.
