Since "SuperSound" began listing this model in 1975, this SE550N is believed to have been made around 1974.It features a 3-piece, 2-ply maple body, a 70s-style large headstock (joined headstock), a 3-piece maple neck, a maple fingerboard, a 4-point neck joint, star-marked Rotomatic tuners (also found on the higher-end SE600 model), three original single-coil pickups (MAXON 24119), and a 3-way selector switch.
This is a Japan Vintage Greco that many are searching for; it features a substantial maple body and is characterized by a tight, focused sound.
Signs of use are visible (sun fading, minor scratches and scuffs, wear and wipe marks, picking marks, loose peg action, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts, etc.).
It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod is fully loosened; the neck is currently in good condition.
