[SN K018464] USED Orville / LPC-85 Ebony [3.86 kg / Manufactured in 1991] Orville Made in Japan [08]
It features an all-mahogany body, a deep joint, Orville’s original humbucker, and a rosewood fingerboard.
Although it shows some signs of use, this model was highly popular for its authentic Gibson headstock shape and diamond inlays—features endorsed by the original manufacturer—and remains a sought-after instrument for many collectors.
It has been distressed, and all electronic components except the pickups have been replaced.Signs of use are visible (paint peeling from the neck to the back of the headstock, unevenness in the over-paint, sanding marks, touch-up marks, cracks near the front and rear volume knobs, discoloration, small scratches and scuff marks, wear and wipe marks, picking marks, buckle marks, verdigris, color fading, clouding, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, etc.).
Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling, front escutcheon replacement). The originally narrow fret tops have been leveled to a lower profile but remain at a height suitable for playing. The truss rod is currently set slightly tight, with approximately 10° of adjustment remaining on the tightening side; it has been checked and is in good working order.
