[SN 0506025] USED GRECO / GZ-3500MF/24 Natural 2005 [10]

[SN 0506025] USED GRECO / GZ-3500MF/24 Natural 2005 [10]

Top-grade Greco Semaitis-era model with a metal front, made in Japan in 2005, now in stock!

The body is a one-piece mahogany, and the neck is also mahogany. A lavishly engraved duralumin metal front is affixed to the body top. The neck profile is thin overall, and the fingerboard is ebony. The scale length is 635mm.
It is equipped with original DiMarzio DP103 PAF pickups. It features original conductive paint, and the pots are high-quality CTS 300k units, with original Orange Drop capacitors. The tuners are Schaller M6, and the headstock, truss rod cover, and jack plate all feature engraving, giving it a distinct Zemaitis feel.

The body finish was satin when new, but has developed a sheen, particularly along the edges, due to use. The top of the body has general wipe marks and polishing marks. There are general scuff marks and dents across the body, concentrated in the lower-left area of the top, and there is paint peeling at the tip of the cutaway. There is a pea-sized area of paint peeling on the lower-left edge of the back, and dents and scuff marks are scattered along the outer edges, primarily in the lower section.Additionally, the body back has scratches and dents of various sizes. The back of the neck has a general sheen from use, and there is a pea-sized dent near the 6th string at the 9th fret. There is a small dent at the top-right corner of the headstock, and the headstock top has linear scratches and uneven satin finish due to aging. There is minor plating wear from picking, primarily around the pickup escutcheon. The bridge string height adjustment mechanism shows some wear but functions properly.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted both ways. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and they have about 70% of their original material remaining. The current string height is set to approximately 2.0 mm on the 6th string side at the 12th fret and approximately 1.5 mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, the guitar has been played extensively and shows signs of wear appropriate for its age, but there are no unsightly scratches. This is a top-grade model from that era featuring an ebony fingerboard, neck binding, and a metal front. The Danny O'Brien-designed plate is exquisite and looks great! With a mahogany body, duralumin bridge, and 24-fret configuration, it produces a unique sound! This is a great choice for slide players as well!
