[SN G01331] USED Music Man / AXIS EX Trans Gold [11]

[SN G01331] USED Music Man / AXIS EX Trans Gold [11]

The Axis EX, developed specifically for the Japanese market, retains strong elements of EVH’s signature design.

Featuring a quilted maple top paired with a translucent Trans Gold finish, this guitar boasts a striking appearance with a three-dimensional grain pattern that stands out. The black back provides a contrasting accent, resulting in a simple yet distinctive look.

The body features a basswood back, while the neck is crafted from bird’s-eye maple. The asymmetrical neck shape offers a comfortable grip, and combined with the smooth feel of the satin finish, it allows for effortless position shifting.

It is equipped with two high-output humbucker pickups. Despite its simple configuration of a single volume knob and a 3-way selector switch, it delivers a bright, punchy attack with just the right amount of body, producing a well-defined sound even at high gain. The clean tone is clear and easy to control, making it suitable for any genre. It features a Floyd Rose tremolo system.

This model draws on the heritage of the USA-made Axis series while offering the exceptional finish and playability characteristic of Japanese craftsmanship.
Since rust, seizure, and breakage were observed on the back screws, all back screws have been replaced.
Metal parts show scratches, tarnish, and dirt. The body back has scratches and numerous other marks. The body top shows some scratches and dents, and the guitar exhibits overall signs of use.
The neck shows slight reverse bow on the 6th string side and some twisting. The frets have been leveled, and playability is currently fine.
