[SN G787292] USED Greco / EG600C Cherry Sunburst [11]

[SN G787292] USED Greco / EG600C Cherry Sunburst [11]

A classic custom model from 1978 with a flawless pedigree. A guitar that perfectly balances playability and vintage charm.

We have received a Greco EG600C manufactured in July 1978. This model features an LP Custom-style appearance with block inlays and multi-binding, combined with a highly practical dual-humbucker configuration.

The stamps on the backs of both the front and rear pickups match as “June 19, 1978,” and the serial numbers on the body and pickups align perfectly, making this an exceptionally authentic specimen. This is a highly original guitar that has maintained the integrity of the original production line from that era, rather than having pickups replaced later. Another key point is that there are no cutouts on the body for a center pickup, confirming it was shipped with a 2-pickup configuration from the factory.

The sound is characterized by the clear projection and rich midrange typical of Maxon humbuckers, offering a well-balanced tone that is easy to control without being overly aggressive. The front pickup delivers a thick, sweet tone, while the rear provides a well-defined, driving sound, allowing you to enjoy classic Les Paul-style tone-shaping with ease. Unlike 3-pickup models, it is easy to handle and can be described as a specification well-suited for live performance.

This guitar embodies the stable craftsmanship unique to the Fujigen era and possesses the distinctive atmosphere characteristic of this vintage. It is a highly attractive Japanese vintage guitar that strikes a perfect balance between originality, sound, and practicality.
It shows signs of use appropriate for its age, such as scratches, dents, and some discoloration on parts.
The neck is in good condition, and the guitar plays well.
