[SN 9919703] USED Gibson Custom Shop / 1999 Historic Collection 40th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Lefthand Heritage Cherry Sunburst [12]
We are pleased to announce the arrival of a rare left-handed 1999 Historic Collection, 1959 Les Paul!
The year 1999 marked the 40th anniversary of the 1959 Les Paul, and it was the year that Gibson Custom Shop pursued and reproduced the vintage specs as much as possible for the time.
Although some of the details have not been reproduced to the same degree as the specification changes made in later years, the reddish-brown rosewood fingerboard with its lustrous and tight grain and the deep wide flame wood grain on the body top are fine woods that were common in the late 90's, and will stimulate Les Paul fans' desire to own a guitar. It stimulates the desire of Les Paul fans to own one.
Two "57Classic" pickups, which are still in the Gibson pickup lineup, are mounted on this guitar, and the sound character is a little sweeter and mellower than the genuine Gibson PAF clone pickups.
There are some minor scuffs on the body back, minor dings scattered around the perimeter of the head top and on the body top, and some tarnishing on the hardware, but the guitar is still in very good condition with little signs of use.
The ABR-1 bridge wire is missing and the condenser has been replaced.
